Ancasa Hotel & Spa is an interior reset for an established Kuala Lumpur hospitality brand. The brief asked for a quietly contemporary register that honours the existing footprint while bringing the guest journey forward by a generation.
The palette is restrained — terracotta, warm timber, brushed brass — and the millwork carries most of the visual weight. Public areas, suites, and standard rooms each receive the same considered treatment: tactile materials, soft lighting, and a calm graphic discipline throughout.
The completed work received the Malaysian Institute of Interior Designers (MIID) Reka Award 2017 for Design Excellence in the hospitality category.
